David Lenhert hails from California, USA

Biography

When not photographing commercial projects, David enjoys traveling and capturing images of nature and landscapes for his fine art photography. Following a 23 year career as a software engineer, David decided to focus his attention on more fulfilling pursuits, namely photography. He holds degrees in Business Management, Computer Science, and Photography. Presently David works as a commercial photographer shooting architecture and home interiors, fashion accessories, jewelry, and other products for business websites and other advertising media. David lives with his wife Karen in southern California.

Awards

David has received awards and recognition in a variety of venues ranging from architecture to landscapes. Most recently, David received a 1st place in Photobin.com's national summer 2009 contest for best overall photo: http://www.photobin.com/photo_contest_2009

Exhibitions

In addition to the occasional contest, David regularly exhibits at the Escondido Municipal Art Gallery and annually at the San Diego County Fair.

Statement

Photography is about the art of seeing, and for me it is more than just a medium for documenting the world around me. Photography is an art form which allows me to share my perspective of the indescribable scenery and events I bear witness to. My aspiration as a photographer is to capture those fleeting moments of unique character and beauty; exposing it for all of its intricacy, power, imperfection or serenity. Whether it’s a record of the natural world, people in various activities or creatures in their native habitats, I seek to record images that evoke an emotional response in the viewer.
